Automobiles are used in a wide range of outdoor environments including where metal corrosion is accelerated. Although corrosion prevention is applied to those vehicles, corrosion is greatly accelerated in coastal areas (known as salt damage areas) and in areas where large amounts of anti-freezing agents are applied to the road surface.
For corrosion related to sodium chloride, we spray salt water (sodium chloride aqueous solution) and adjust the environment to perform an accelerated exposure test.
At Chemitox, we conduct Salt Spray Tests and Salt Mist Cycling Tests with large and small salt spray equipment.
