Power Devices Evaluation

Thermal shock test (Damper Type / Elevator Type)

Thermal shock test (Damper Type / Elevator Type)

For PWB, Automotive Electrical Equipment, Aircraft mounted Equipment and Power Devices
Thermal shock test is to assess resistance to temperature changes by exposing the specimen alternately to high and low temperatures in a short time. There is a Damper Type and an Elevator Type of Thermal Shock Chamber. Damper Type requires several minutes for temperature transition, whereas the Elevator Type allows temperature transition within 10 seconds. Although both methods may not change the duration for temperature transition of the specimen itself, certain industries strictly adhere to the evaluation of the Elevator Type. Both test methods are available at Chemitox.
Case of failure due to thermal stress

Elevator type thermal shock test

The reliability evaluation standard for Automotive electrical components, Semiconductor parts and power devices developed mainly by European car manufacturers stipulates the test to be performed with the Elevator type chamber.
We have introduced a medium capacity elevator type thermal shock chamber. This model secures energized paths and can conduct thermal shock test in energized state.

[Specifications] Temperature Transition system: Elevator Type High temperature range:+60 to +205℃ Low temperature range:−77 to 0℃ Temperature transition time: within 10 seconds Inside dimensions:W560×H345×D370 mm, 70L

Elevator Type Thermal shock test

Thermal shock test up to 300℃

Thermal shock test up to 300°C is primarily designed for next-generation power devices. The development of automotive power devices which require driving in hot environments is carried out at 300°C as a guide. We have introduced chambers with temperatures maximum at 300°C and provide the services to evaluate and develop next-generation power devices.

[Specifications] Temperature Transition system: Damper Type High temperature range:+80 to +300℃ Low temperature range:−65 to -10℃ Inside dimensions:W370×H450×D400 mm

Elevator Type Thermal shock test

A wide range of chambers

We offer a variety of thermal shock test chambers to meet customer's needs. We have a track record of continuous energized measurement test, progress check by periodic removal and failure analysis after the test. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
